SSC JE Notification 2023: The most awaited Junior Engineer examination has been announced by Staff Selection Commission(SSC).
Application Fee
- Fee payable(General): Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
- Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.

- SSC JE 2023 Notification Releases: 26th July 2023
- Last Date to Apply Online: 16th Aug 2023 (2300 hrs)
- Date of Correction: 17 to 18 Aug 2023 (2300 hrs)
- Tentative Date for Computer Based Examination(Paper-I): October, 2023
Age Limit
- Upto 30 years: Border Roads Organization(BRO), Central Water Commission, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation(Brahmaputra Board), Farakka Barrage Project (FBP), Military Engineer Services (MES), Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways(Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works), National Technical Research Organization (NTRO)
- Upto 32 years: Central Public Works Department (CPWD)
Calculation of Age limit will be as on 01/08/2023. Candidates Born within the age limit can apply for the above described boards for the post of JE in respective boards.

Important: Only male candidates are eligible for the post(s) of Junior Engineer(s)in the Border Roads Organization (BRO). It is reiterated that the candidates applying for the post(s) of Junior Engineer(s) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) should cautiously go through the physical and medical standards required by BRO.
Ex-servicemen: There is no reservation for Ex- Servicemen (ESM) category candidates since the post of Junior Engineer(s) included in this notice of examination is classified as Group ‘B’ post. However, benefit of agerelaxation will be admissible to ESM candidates in accordance with Government Orders. The guidelines/rules relating to relaxation admissible to ESM category candidates included in this Notice of Examination are in accordance with the guidelines issued by DoP&T.
